FatWatch 1.2 submitted for review
Last night I submitted FatWatch 1.2 to Apple for review; barring any trouble, it should be available for download in about a week. I felt like I hadn’t done enough to justify an update, but when I reviewed the list of changes since 1.1 it was clear that an update was overdue. I made sure all the known bugs were fixed, tested the application, then submitted a build.

A handful of people have told me they don’t like the name FatWatch, on account of the way “fat” is often used as an insult. That is “fat” being used in its adjective sense, to describe a person or a penguin. The most frequent complaint I hear about FatWatch is that the chart view is too spartan. Trade-offs are a fact of life, and so for the initial release of FatWatch I decided to keep the chart simple so I could focus on other aspects of the application. Import Eat Watch for Palm data into FatWatch

FatWatch 1.1 available on iTunes
The FatWatch 1.1 update is now available for download on iTunes, just after the nick of time. While I was able to update my own phone without any problems, I’ve heard that others have seen their data disappear when they update other iPhone apps. To guard against this, I posted some instructions on the website on how to safely upgrade, by using Wi-Fi Import/Export to make a backup first.
