Several days ago I used some of the proceeds from FatWatch to purchase a new scale for myself, one which measures body fat percentage. I’ll be collecting my own data to use as I add body fat percentage tracking into FatWatch. It’s not something I had thought of before, but after reading a lot of feature requests, it makes a lot of sense.
What’s exciting about this feature is that FatWatch will be able to use the percentage when it computes your energy surplus or deficit, making these numbers more accurate. FatWatch will truly be able to track your stored fat, not just your whole body weight. For people trying to gain muscle, this will be very useful.
If you are a FatWatch user with a scale that measures body fat percentage, what are you doing with the number? Are you entering it into the Note section? If you’re already tracking the number, I want to be able to help you preserve it.
