Him Or ME

First thing, I need to reset the sugar meter a bit. I am not giving up on sweets permanently, just for one week while I re-calibrate. Earlier today I threw out 1/2 half of a homemade orange chiffon cake leftover from our party this weekend. It was a really good cake! But it was him or me. Him Or ME.

I wouldn’t be the least bit surprised to learn of a strong correlation between people who feel terrible about being wasteful and people who tend to overweight. I routinely pick my roommate’s plastic bottles out of the trash and move them to the recycling bin. I always feel much better about taking old clothes and things to Goodwill than I do about simply throwing them in the trash.

If thrift stores accepted donations of leftover food, I bet a lot of people would have an easier time with their weight.
